If Henry Ford canvassed people on whether or not he should build a motor car, they’d probably tell him what they really wanted was a faster horse.
This is a really insightful observation on change; and while a similar quote to this is attributed to Henry Ford – “If I had asked my customers what they wanted they would have said a faster horse”, it’s highly unlikely Ford actually said it.
